How it works
How Loanster works
Five steps from 'I need to buy this' to getting it working.
Most finance processes start with the lender's product. Ours starts with your purchase. Here's what happens after you enquire.
- 1
1. Tell us what you're buying (about a minute)
The purchase, the price, a few questions about the business and any property. No credit check when you first enquire.
- 2
2. A real person reads it and calls
Someone who knows business lending looks at the purchase and the business together, and rings you to fill in the gaps.
- 3
3. We match the funding to the purchase
Unsecured, property-backed or another structure, on a term that fits how long the purchase will earn. You get the full cost in dollars.
- 4
4. Paperwork, only once you say go
When you choose to proceed, we tell you exactly what's needed: usually bank statements, ID and a quote or invoice.
- 5
5. Funds to you or the seller
Money is paid to your account or straight to the supplier, dealer or vendor, so you can get the purchase working.
Why we start with the purchase
The same business might need a short loan for laptops, a vehicle-secured loan for a ute and a property-backed loan to buy a competitor. Getting the structure right for each purchase means you're never paying for something after it stops earning, and you keep cash in the business where it does the most good. Try the purchase payback calculator before you enquire if you want to test the numbers first.
Common questions
Does enquiring affect my credit score?
No. There's no credit check when you first enquire. A check is only discussed once you've chosen to go ahead with a specific option.
Will my details be sent to lots of lenders?
No. One person works on your enquiry and matches it to an option that suits. Your details aren't sprayed across a list of lenders.
What should I have ready?
A quote or invoice for what you're buying, recent business bank statements, your ABN and, if property is involved, the address and what's owing on it.
Why do you ask so many questions on the form?
So the first option we bring you is the right one. Accurate answers about turnover, the purchase and any property save a second round of calls.
Can funds be paid straight to the seller?
Yes. For vehicles, equipment and fit-outs, funds are commonly paid to the dealer, supplier or builder. For business purchases, they're paid at settlement.
Tell us what you're buying and we'll take it from there.
